SECOND YEAR

I started my second year in UC as a junior and it has been a roller coaster. Friendships formed and faded, projects launched and landed, and somewhere in the chaos, I learned a powerful lesson: it's okay to walk away from things that drain you.

I dove headfirst into campus life, juggling 18 credits across three semesters while juggling

three hats: peer tutor, Bio 1081 content creator, and content review leader. Fueled by a desire to connect with my Ghanaian heritage, I founded and became president of the UCGSA, a club that brought Ghanaians together. The Warren Bennis Leadership Institution challenged me to step up, honing my leadership skills alongside leading the UCGSA.

But that's not all! Joining UC AHEC opened doors to incredible didactic and experimental experiences, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Buckle up for a wild ride through my sophomore year at UC!

Third Year Experiences

As a pre-med student, my days are typically filled with classes and studying. However, I make sure to stay engaged beyond the textbooks during my free time. Social media can wait! I prioritize experiences, planning trips with friends and family to explore different parts of the US. It's not just about being a student – I'm also exploring this amazing country.

For instance, I visited Indiana, enjoyed Thanksgiving with loved ones in Maryland, and even traveled to Virginia for a conference. These are just a few of the many adventures that colored my junior year. Buckle up, because I'm ready to share some of the most memorable experiences!
